"George had a will dated 15 October 1811 in part of Harrison that becameUpshur County Paulser Butcher was one of the administrators. The willlisted widow as Susanna. George is thought to have died 1820 at 100 yearsold. But he was found to have been involved in land deals of selling hisland more than once, according to the Harrison County Chancery Files, sohis reputed age of 100 may not be correct."
"In 1781 George Adam Bush had 400 acres along the Buckhannon River inHarrison County adjoining George Jackson; brother John had 200 acres onthe Buckhannon River adjoining John Hacker. Bush's Fort near Buckhannonwas named for John Bush."
